Rob Williams

RobRob Williams worked from 1984 to 2004 with Kevin Hunt and Jon O’Connor as part of The Flaming Idiots (www.theflamingidiots.net). The three of them spent years street performing across America with a focus on work at Renaissance Festivals. Many shows were done while wearing tights, but they also worked anywhere that would have them from comedy clubs in Waco, TX to beautiful theaters on Broadway.  Their show was primarily a juggling show, but it delved into vaudeville with straitjacket escapes, balloon swallowing, and whip cracking. They were based in Austin, TX for their twenty year run and enjoyed multiple sold out runs there at the Zach Scott Theater. When they retired their show the mayor created a proclamation declaring January 4th Flaming Idiots Day in Austin, TX.

Rob went on to star at Zach Scott in the one man Christmas show written by David Sedaris, The Santaland Diaries, before moving to Los Angeles to write for and appear on The Queer Edge, a short lived talk show starring Sandra Bernhard and Jack Jett.

Living in Los Angeles means wearing many hats, and Rob did exactly that. Writing and having a play produced, studying improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade, working as the warm up comic for the entire first season of America’s Got Talent, and writing for reailty television.

Heading back out on the road with a solo show (featuring his foot sandwich), he toured from Dublin, IRE to Chistchurch, NZ with many stops in Canada. While performing his solo show at a festival in Florida Rob met Casey Martin and the two of them created a two person show called the Kamikaze Fireflies () after becoming a couple. As part of the Kamikaze’s, Rob continues to tour the world and shamelessly pursue every creative outlet for which he can find the time.
